In addition, by submitting material to Journal of Interdisciplinary Global Health Research (JIGHR), the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Journal of Interdisciplinary Global Health Research (JIGHR).

Authors are expected to submit accurate, original work, obtain all necessary ethics approvals, and promptly report any errors in published work. Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality and conduct evaluations objectively. Authors are expected to provide documentation of ethics committee/Institutional Review Board approval or exemption.
Use of generative AI: Any use of generative AI in manuscript preparation or peer review must be disclosed (provide specific description/quotes of AI-generated information and cite in References), and AI tools may not be listed as authors.

Peer Review
All submisions are initially screened for alignment with the Journal guidelines, proper formatting, ethical considerations, completeness, and alignment with the Journal's scope, following a standardized rubric.
Blind review is conducted by one Senior Associate Editor w/ subject expertise and at least one independent reviewer. Reviewers will assess the manuscript for its originality, methodology, results, discussion, and adherence to ethical standards. Constructive feedback will be given to authors that includes strengths, challenges, and weaknesses of the submission.
Following a final readthrough by a Senior Associate Editor, the Chief Editor will conduct the final review of a manuscript and make the decision if it should be accepted, revised (major or minor revisions), or rejected. In some cases, the Chief Editor may decide to send the manuscript for further review before making a final decision.
