The importance of digital design and its VLSI implementation is increasing day by day. Digital circuits have applications in all walks of life. In this thesis various procedures are given by which the digital circuits can be designed and implemented such as VLSI design. In particular, simulation of digital circuits using Xilinx and Labview has been discussed. A number of circuits including a generalized pipeline array has been simulated. Simulink is generally used for simulation of analog circuits'; however, an effort has been made so that the popular Matlab Simulink can be used for the digital circuit. A testing of digital circuits can be done using FPGAs and is discussed in this thesis so that digital circuits can be tested with FPGA. The VLSI implementation of digital circuits is a challenging task. The procedures for the design of digital circuits is written in a concise form so that the reader can have their implementation. In particular, the fuzzy logic circuits implementation, its FPGA implementation and VLSI design are included; in particular, the design of circuits from verilog code is given. It is hoped that the work done in this thesis will go a long way in improving the simulations and digital design of the circuits.
