Network Detroit: Digital Humanities Theory and Practice is one of the major digital humanities conferences in the great lakes region, drawing scholars from across the Midwest and Canada. The goals of the conference are to foster:

• a census of Midwestern, especially Detroit-area, digital humanities projects
• opportunities for participants to discuss inter-institutional collaboration
• the use of digital methods in cultural heritage work, humanities scholarship, outreach and pedagogy
• conversations about what issues arise for digital humanists in this regional context

The conference brings together technological leaders from universities, colleges, museums, libraries, and businesses, along with local community stakeholders.
