Abstract
This piece is a short description of birth of the illustrated book. It was a complex process, which began with children’s experiences giving impetus to my work. Through the participation of many different people, plus many lucky factors, the final edition of the illustrated book emerged. The Nutcracker and the Mouse King was successfully published a few times, though this was a graduation project, my first experience in working on the book. The illustrations for Hoffmann’s fairy tale The Nutcracker and the Mouse King became one of my most loved, lucky, and noticeable works.
