Abstract
This study shows that the Crow-Mange method of estimating random isonymy is not accurate for an isolate in the French West Indies because demographic aspects of the population are not taken into account. Computer simulations of marriage which include aspects of the mating structure are made in order to better estimate random and total isonymy.
