One night twenty years ago, at a kitchen table in rural Massachusetts, I dreamed up a modest annual journal devoted to fairy tales. I acquired Post Office Box 72 the very next morning, bought some stamps, and began to type and mail letters to some authors I knew, and some authors I didn’t know, asking if they might have a fairy-tale work I could publish in the first issue of Fairy Tale Review, and I invited them to kindly help spread the good word.
