Self-determination and transition theory and applications are major areas of research and outreach at the College of Education, Wayne State University. The Self-Determination research cluster has developed and published numerous research articles and monographs addressing:

  • Steps to Self-Determination curriculum, Self-determination Strategies for Adolescents in Transition
  • Self-Determination assessment instruments

Over time, research has focused on students with and without disabilities in schools across the nation.
