Within the frame of her personal story of working with story and storytelling within the health care community, the author considers the many roles of story in generating connection, building and sustaining relationships and community, and stimulating self-reflection and learning. Her story also explores the role of story in restoring connectedness in the wake of the rupture of illness and suffering.
