Abstract
Mesiodistal and buccolingual crown diameters of the decidious teeth were measured in a sample of 100 Mulatto children from the Dominican Republic. Mean values for mesiodistal dimensions tended to be larger in boys than girls whereas the reverse applied for buccolingual dimensions, suggesting a possible difference in tooth shape between the sexes. Incisors and canines showed greater variability in crown-size than molars, a finding consistent with observations in other populations.
