Abstract
Wilson bands were observed in ground etched thin sections of human mandibular canines with the light microscope are seriated and divided into categories utilizing the variation in enamel prism morphology as observed with the scanning electron microscope. The variation between categories can be explained by changes in two factors: change in direction of ameloblast movement and metabolism, and the angle of the sectioning plane.
