Abstract
Blood specimens from some 200 Baganda were examined by starch gel electrophoresis for red cell isoenzyme and serum protein phenotypes. The gene frequencies compare well with the few reported from elsewhere in East Africa and the adjacent regions, but there is a suggestion that the Lacustrian may differ from south-east Bantu populations in gene frequencies in the 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase and acid phosphatase systems.
