Abstract
Digital dermatoglyphics of 84 females and 111 males of the Baganda tribe of Uganda have been analyzed and data on the pattern type distribution, pattern intensity and pattern types indices presented. The proportion of arches on digits I-V in the Baganda is similar to the distribution in other Black African groups. The Baganda have a higher frequency of radial loops on the left hand and radial loops form 2.2% of all the digital patterns.
