Abstract
In a series of early normal fetuses, brain weight, body weight, crown/rump length and occipito-frontal diameter are measured, and growth of brain weight relative to each of the other measurements examined. Regressions estimating fetal age from each of these measurements and combinations of them are given; brain weight is the best single estimator of fetal age, and brain weight and occipito-frontal diameter together are the best two estimators.
