Abstract
The function: In (weight) = A -f- B In (Age) + In2 (Age), is proposed for the description of weight in postneonatal infancy, with the parameters A, B and C estimated separately by the method of least squares. The suitability of this function and its practical usefulness are tested on data relating to 449 children from a rural area in Israel, with an average 17.5 weighings per child.
