Abstract
Serge Daney has dedicated numerous articles to the coverage of the Gulf war, in Libération and on the radio waves. In his synthesis of these articles in Cahiers du cinéma (April 1991), he put forward in particular the idea of a necessary distinction between image and visual. The Revue d'études palestiniennes asked him to explain this distinction.
