Abstract
The Collection contains information on peace movements, both historical and current, leaders of nonviolence; and Nobel Peace Prize winners. The list contains an additional 230 publications of these 186 are children's literature and videos. The list includes 159 books that received awards by the Jane Addams Peace Association (JAPA) an affiliate of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF). The Jane Addams Children's Book Award has been given annually since 1953 to honor Jane Addams and to recognize excellence in themes of peace, social justice, gender equity and the world community in literature for children. We stand in gratitude to WILPF for their foresight in establishing the Jane Addams Peace Association.
In addition, this addendum contains materials on Restorative Practices--a method of social discipline resulting in building a sense of community and reducing conflict and violence in the schools.
